This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will be exposed to a beautiful story about Samuel and his favorie color blue. It is important to teach students about inclusivity and how others uniqueness should be accepted and welcomed in school communities and outside school communities. The goal for this project is to have all teachers in the building (grades 3K-5) jon a read aloud during the same period in the day and teach students a little bit about autism using the book called Masterpiece by Alexandra Hoffman. Our school is such a diverse community filled with MANY DIFFERENT types of students. Different backgrounds, religions and strengths. We are all unique in multiple ways and this story that will be shared with students will open up another way to look at someone elses uniqueness.
