My Project

All supplies will help create a positive and active learning environment in a secondary math classroom. Whiteboards, Expos, magnet clips, and erasers will encourage interaction and collaboration in the classroom. "Math talk" aids learning, corrections, retention, and critical thinking. Tape dispensers, staplers, pencil sharpeners, and highlighters are all supplies that will support an interactive notebook. Modeling organization, interaction with notes (color coding, annotating), and referencing back to notes will increase students' independent note-taking and study skills. This will also lead students to self-assess where they are in pursuit of reaching a standard. The snacks are to reward positive behavior in class.
