This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are amazing! After a year and a half of virtual learning, they are back in the classroom and ready to learn. Woo-hoo!
We are making up for lost time as we embark on our educational journey.
My students did an amazing job with virtual learning. But now we're back in the classroom. Because of new COVID restrictions, I am not able to interact with my students the way I need to. They are back in the classroom after 18 months of being home. They are learning how to be students all over again. But they are present, they are focused, and they are eager to learn.
My Project
Winter is right around the corner. Every year hundreds of students come to school without the proper clothing. Hats, gloves and socks are essential to keeping the body warm in the cold months ahead. Our students come to school many times without any of these essentials. Most students do not wear coats to schools. Students wear hoodies in ten degree weather to keep warm. They often come to school without socks on, in the rain, in the snow and in the freezing cold. Many teachers purchase these items to give to students but we are not able to finically keep up with the needs of our students. Any help we can get would help.
