My Students

My second-grade class has 32 students in it. My students are eager to learn, enjoy school, and are motivated to succeed. They love to use their imagination and grow as learners. We are a large school with over 1,000 students. We are a Title I school and all of the students in my school receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of the students in my school are English as a second language learners.

We have many different languages spoken in my school. My students come to school with big smiles and are ready to learn and achieve great things!

My Project

My students are in need of mentor text books to help us become readers and writers. We are getting a new literacy program which only provides us with digital copies of many of the books we will be reading. It is great to have paper copies of books so my students can see them in print. We will be using these books as mentor text to inspire us to write in the style of the author. We will also be using these books to practice our reading skills on.
