Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every year, my classroom is filled with diverse learners. I have students who are just learning English. I have others with special needs. I also have high achieving students. Within this diverse group, one third come from low income households and receive free/reduced-price lunch.

Although my students are all very different academically, economically, and culturally, my students are all curious and eager to be successful learners!

Our school emphasizes the importance of learning no matter what a child's background is. Each year, we strive to find many different resources for all our students to ensure they have the tools they need to grow and become a college-prepared and career-ready learner.

My Project

I am in desperate need of a new computer and with a new Mac Book I know I will provide my students with a reliable learning experience, during this tough time of distance learning.

Currently, I have an old PC computer that randomly shuts down on me.

Can you imagine being on a video call and your computer just shuts down? It's awful and embarrassing. I also have to keep it plugged in, in order for the battery to work to its full potential.

Since I spend many hours creating digital material for my students, will have to teach virtually all day, and even train my colleagues on technology, I am looking for a computer that will allow me to do all this. My students deserve to have a teacher that has all the necessary tools to maximize their learning. I know your contribution will go a long way and help many students and many of my colleagues now and in the years to come!
