Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Access to proper nutrition is crucial for high school students and these snacks will help give our students the energy and sustenance they need to get through the school day, allowing them to be more alert and engaged in class. Snacks are stored in the guidance office which encourages students to interact with the counselors, ask questions, and check out some of the other resources we have.

With this project, we hope to provide some sustenance for our students and create an inviting space within the larger school environment.

Many of our students have limited access to nutritional foods outside of school and oftentimes school lunch is not sufficient enough. Our students are hardworking and passionate, and show up to school every day and put their best foot forward. Many of our students juggle multiple responsibilities at home or work, and this is just one way that we can support them. These snacks will make a big difference for our students and contribute to a more effective learning environment.
