My Students

My students are an amazing group of engaging personalities! They are an endearing mixture of kids who have a wide range of abilities and characteristics. I have quiet and studious children, whose eyes are always on teacher, soaking up new information like a sponge. I have fun loving, gregarious kiddos, always on the go - ready for the next recess, activity or the chance to make a new friend. I have kids who live for the next art project and are at their happiest with crayons or markers in their hands!

However, one thing that unites all my students is that they are ALL troopers!

They began the school year much like new Kindergartners - some with zero school experience and some with online education only. Those who did have in-person school only attended a partial year with half days. Due to these extra challenges, they came into 1st grade with wide gaps in their knowledge and lacking the stamina to attend a full day. In just the few months I've had them, they have shown incredible strength and resilience, and have amazed me with their growth. I can't wait to see what we can do!

My Project

I want my give my first graders a bright, happy learning environment.

I want them to know their classroom is a space where they can be safe and happy, and where they can find motivation and encouragement everywhere they look!

Please help me give these amazing kiddos a bright and happy classroom, filled with colorful posters that reflect the values and mindset we encourage and foster in our daily conversations. We also are asking for the supplies to laminate some of the smaller posters and to make more motivational posters, displays, bookmarks and learning resources throughout the year!
