Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are high-school-aged children who volunteer their time after school for various activities. They enjoy sports medicine and oftentimes stay after school to help their fellow students with medical care. These medical magnet students are working hard to gain experience in the medical field and are studying a lot. They take advanced science classes and are some of the hardest working kids at our school. They are constantly helping others and pushing each other to do more to serve our school community.

These students often are leaders among their peers and are ready to lend a helping hand to others!

Their selflessness is inspiring daily and keeps everyone at the school motivated to do more and work as a team!

My Project

These materials are going directly to students who love to read! A group of our high school students have created a book club at our school. Now they need reading material! We have been adding slowly to our classroom library, but these kids need books!

This project will enable them to read during the day during Drop Everything and Read time in addition to checking out the books and borrowing them for reading and then discussion in book club!

The students are super excited to get started and read! Help us today by supporting our project and connecting these students with books to read!
