My students need tools to extend their basic art skills- Drawing! We need Strathmore 200 Series Sketch Pads, Blick Hardwood Manikin, and General''s Charcoal Pencil Set.
We have an amazingly diverse student body at our Middle School.
Our students love to come to school every day and for many of them, look back onto their middle school years as their favorite academic school years. Some common characteristics among our students include an appreciation for cultural diversity, an understanding of shared leadership, tech savviness, creative problem solving and global thinking. Our students work hard everyday and give up their spare time to give back to their local and global community through organizations like Project Linus, Operation Gratitude and Students Rebuild. Our students also demonstrate school pride through their involvement with extra curricular activities including sports teams and after school clubs like Magazine Club, Math Club and Engineering Club.
My students work very hard at school every day and look forward to their creative release once they step into the "Expressions" classroom. My students attend "Expressions" every day and connect with their inner artist through the creative process! I hope to provide each student with a diverse "Artist Toolbox" to continue to challenge and engage their creative spirit!
My Project
When you fund this project our students will have the opportunity to build upon their drawing skills. Not only will students gain knowledge using these tools, but the knowledge that they gain will translate to other 2-d and 3-d artwork that they will create in the future. Drawing is one of the basic skills of art and developing this skill further by funding My Artist Toolbox For Students will help build self confidence to extend their knowledge in order to take creative risks through creative expression!
Using these drawing tools will provide students with positive experiences of accomplishment, pride, and personal value.
This potential mindset within students can trigger intrinsic motivation to continue to express their ideas and connect with others through art!
