This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are in need of art supplies for our fifth grade class! As teachers, one of our biggest goals is to create opportunities for students to make connections between different content areas. That includes the arts!
Making such connections makes what we teach more concrete and visual for our students, making it easier for them to grasp and retain the main ideas!
Art materials can be used in all subjects such as math, reading, and writing to further engage their learning. Most of our students come from low-income families and cerain supplies are much harder to obtain. Please help us create these experiences for our artsy fifth graders to keep them engaged and motivated.
