This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Who likes to learn from just textbooks and lecture? Definitely not me nor my students..... Children love working with technology, hand on experiments, and exploration!

I teach Math and Science to fourth grade gifted students in a public K-8 center.

We have a variety of races and levels of SES in our school. Our test scores continue to rise and the next step is to incorporate more technology into our classrooms. I teach two Math and Science classes, with a total of 39 students. My gifted students are eager to learn and are inquisitive about everything!

My Project

My students need one IPAD with a case and a color printer to encourage math practice, research skills, and communication. Students will use the IPAD to research information for Science , use math applications to practice math skills, create brochures/presentations and record student presentations. Also the IPAD's will feed my students creativity and encourage them to use technology. The Math literature will give me the opportunity to provide my students with meaningful and interesting connections to Math. I will have students write about problem solving experiences that relates to the math literature.

The IPAD and the printer in the classroom will stimulate curiosity, creativity and student interest in Math and Science.The Math literature will provide the opportunity for my students to analyze mathematical thinking, problem solving and develop communication skills.
