Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 7th and 8th grade students at our school have gone through a lot of changes this year already. They have not had a regularly appointed math teachers since the beginning of the school year. Therefore, their class has been in despair. Very recently as the school's Academic Teacher Leader for Math, I have been asked to step in as their regularly appointed teacher after 4 weeks of the start of the school year. Coming in at a late start, has caused a lot of concern and mistrust amongst our middle schoolers. Their classroom looks very bare in comparison to the other classes in the school. Therefore, in order to help students reach their fullest potential, they have to feel welcomed in their learning environment and have the basic instructional tools.

Making our classroom a warm and welcoming environment that they can be proud of will help them feel valued as young scholars.

We need decorations, notebooks, pencils, graph paper and even a pencil sharpener to begin rebuilding our learning classroom to achieve greatness.
