My Students

I am a STEM teacher in an elementary school and my students are in grades K-5. My students live throughout the borough of the Bronx and have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our school is part of New York City's District 75, which provides specialized instruction and support for students with significant challenges.

Our students are eager to learn and explore and I look forward to seeing their faces light up when they are introduced to new topics or hands-on activities!

My students succeed best when they are provided with a well-managed and structured environment that’s full of love and support for their individual needs. When provided with a well-rounded education including visual, auditory, tactile, and technology opportunities, my students will continue to grow and achieve success!

My Project

Back to school can bring a whole bunch of feelings. Fidget gadgets are the new tool to help kiddos, even adults, when they need a little help. Anxiety, nervousness, and fidgeting are some emotions that many of my kiddos feel when coming back to school but even on a daily basis. These fidget packs like the spinners and pop its help calm those nerves or sooth anxiety. Many of my students families have been affected by this pandemic and kids are suffering. These simple fidget balls and tools can help them stay focused during the day and keep their mind from wandering. It would be great for my kiddos to have the tools they need to help them control their emotions all year round!
