My Students

My students are very excited about learning and love to come to school each day. They are passionate about helping the environment, doing yoga, reading funny stories, and learning the English language. In my classroom, we celebrate diversity and equality of all. Many of my students have already experienced a great deal outside of our classroom walls. School is a safe place for my students to have fun positive experiences and to build long-lasting friendships.

My Project

My 3rd and 4th grade students are doing 100% distance learning this year due to the current pandemic. My school is a Title I public school and therefore, my students desperately need these supplies at home in order to access an engaging education. In the past, I have always been able to use packs flashcards and novel sets in small groups to enhance Common Core curriculum. Unfortunately, because we are not in the classroom, my students do not have this opportunity this year. My students' families cannot afford to purchase these items for their child, so I am seeking these valuable donations. I would like to send each of my students home with flashcards and math workbooks to practice their basic 3rd and 4th grade facts that support our current curriculum. In addition to this, I would love to do a novel study with one of my favorite books, Charlotte's Web. My students would be thrilled to actually have their own copy of this engaging story. With the $100 gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers, I would like to purchase Charlotte's Web curriculum that directly pertains to distance learning. This curriculum would increase student reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary skills, and allow the story to come to life for my class.
