My Project

This project will be supporting a group of fifth-grade students who participate in a variety of small group activities. These students thrive by having choices in the classroom. One of the most desired choices is flexible seating. My students tell me again and again how that is their favorite part of the day.

I am looking to increase the options available to students as well as provide a carpet for the classroom.

Having a carpet will provide another option for students as well as provide a location for our morning meetings. Morning meetings have become a critical part of our routine. It gives the students a chance to greet each other in the morning and in turn, builds our classroom community.

As a teacher, this support for our classroom reminds me each day how special it is to have a caring, kind, and supportive classroom. Thank you, from our classroom community of learners. The students love to be loved.
