Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 3K students in Brooklyn. My students arrive at school every day eager to learn! They love to play and use their imaginations with their friends. My classroom is all about reaching goals, from socializing with peers to accomplishing big things! In my classroom, we celebrate all goals even small ones. Since it is many of their first time in school, I want their foundational experiences to be great ones! They happily enjoy reading books in the library center, drawing pictures in the writing or art center, building structures in the block center, and pretending in dramatic play throughout the day. They just love to learn and explore!

My Project

A color printer will greatly impact our classroom by allowing us to make many colored visuals for student learning. In my 3K class, many students are still developing language and many are English language learners, so having a color printer will give my students the opportunity to benefit from engaging visuals.

We will use this printer to create task cards for each center, task cards for routines and to print colored photos of students engaged in center time activities.
