My Project

Providing snacks and calming workspace resources I attached to this project, will allow the library to be a place for reading, researching, and studying, but also a place for students to settle in with a bit of food to nibble on and if they are anxious some time to calm and settle down to find grace and peace.

Many students come to the library with many needs and feelings that must be addressed, and the snacks and mental health tools I requested will help many to come in and be ready to learn.

Supplementing classroom instruction is more than finding resources students may need to complete an assignment, or finding a book to read, The library is a place that stimulates inquiry and critical thinking skills, supports learners in lifelong learning, and much more. Makerspaces for them to assist in analyzing, imagining, sharing, soothing, and working with others require mental fitness and oftentimes a healthy snack.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
