Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I am the principal at a Title I school in West Valley City, Utah. Most of the students come from low-income families, and a good portion are English Language Learners.
My students love to learn and come to school, yet many have deficiencies or need additional support to reach grade-level content.
They need additional assistance in reading and math skills and learn best using hands-on methods. I love my kids and hope to give them the best education any student could have!
My Project
This project will help students with problem-solving skills as they work together with other students on these STEM activities. Communication and relationships are built between students and teachers to help students feel connected to school and connected to their learning. Students will make connections to core concepts learned in class in math and science with these learning kits.
Students learn critical thinking skills as they plan, build, and share their designs.
This project also helps students work on problem-solving skills as they navigate missing concepts in reading and math.
