This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When I started at my school, my classroom was not a functional theater space. It was used as an auxiliary cafeteria and storage. The lighting was not functional, and it was often left neglected. Since I started last year, I've been working hard to make the classroom a practical, performance-ready blackbox theater, as well as a learning space for my theater students.

Theatre, in particular, builds confidence, public speaking skills, and teamwork – all essential tools for success in any field.

By donating to our program, you'll be providing students with the resources they need to explore their artistic potential and develop valuable life skills at a school that has never had a theater program before.

Your contribution will help turn a disorganized and unused closet into storage for our props, costumes, and set pieces for future productions. By purchasing these supplies, you are helping us get one step closer to being a proper theater classroom. This will help students with theater performance both in the classroom and extracurricularly.
