My Students

My school is located in Queens, N.Y., the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world. The children who enter my classroom, come from all over NYC. As such, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge, that contributes to a dynamic classroom. My students include AP, general education, and special education students. In addition, many of my students also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, many times, resources are scarce.

In my classroom of 34 students, there are 30 different countries represented as a result of the cultural diversity that exists among my students.

They are eager to learn and motivated to push themselves to do their best. There is an atmosphere of acceptance and trust in our classroom that encourages students to step out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves to set high academic and social goals that they can work toward together.

My Project

Having a properly equipped classroom that can provide for the needs of your students is essential for success. Pens, pencils, markers, sharpeners, poster board, and staplers are just a few of the necessary materials to help a classroom to run smoothly.

Students love to add color to their work and to have a variety of art supplies at their disposal.

Engaging them in their work with the proper tools inspires creativity and motivation which in turn leads to success.

Please help me to help my students reach their goals and enjoy a rich and varied learning experience that promotes learning.
