My Students

Some of my students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations. This could be the year that magic happens and they fall in love with books.

My students are eager to learn new things and be creative.

They enjoy reading and writing. My school is a Title one school in New York City and my students get free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students are English as a second language learners. My fourth grade class has 32 children of different abilities and they love school.

My Project

Help build our classroom library. As part of our reading curriculum we read the book Lunch Money by Andrew Clements. After reading this book it would be great for my students to have additional books by this author to continue reading and exploring his crafts and style of writing. We are also in need so some read aloud picture books to help build community and to practice our reading skills. With the sheet protectors we will be able to write on graphic organizers with a dry erase marker and erase it to use with a new book in the future.

Please help improve our classroom library and enhance our reading skills.
