Help Bring Visual Learning to My Classroom

Help me give my students the technology needed to enhance their learning. The document camera & DVD player will allow me to project the information necessary for my students to follow along in class and gain understanding.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My 25 third grade students are creative, hard-working and full of energy. We are a Title I School and 100% of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. We are located in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Our children come from low socioeconomic households and assistance is often needed in order to find success.

Teachers in our school are continually helping families in anyway possible. I would love to provide my students with all the tools possible to improve their education.

My Project

As technology evolves, so does the way in which students learn. The majority of my students are surrounded by technology daily, and learn best by seeing things visually laid out for them. I would love to use more modern technology in my classroom and the document camera and DVD player will allow me to do just that.

The document camera will permit students to see where exactly we are in the lesson.

I will be able to project the materials onto the board and the students will be able to follow along much easier- in result, more work will be completed and more objectives will be met. In addition, the DVD player will allow me the opportunity to show relevant informative videos that relate to the subject areas I teach.

Funding my project will have such a positive impact on my classroom. Providing my students with this technology will further enhance their learning.
