My Project

I teach a kindergarten and 1st grade self contained bridge class. It is most important that my classroom is organized, clean, colorful, inviting and have a relaxed vibe. I will be switching rooms to accommodate students with special needs that need the support of equipments through out the day. The new classroom has plenty of space but unfortunately lacks COLOR! I desperately new to bring new life into the classroom. The bright yellow bulletin board with the the Eric Carle borders will brighten up the room. The students’ work will be hanging on the bulletin boards, matted with colored construction paper over the bright yellow background. The magnetic hooks will be used to hang a calendar and other morning meeting posters, bringing an old chalkboard to life. The velcro dots and hot glue gun will be used to hang posters around the room. The laminating sheets will help preserve resources students use daily in their writing and during math. Lastly, every Friday, the students earn prizes for being kind and well behaved throughout the week. My students have always worked hard toward Friday prizes. What better to way to surprise them than with a 5 year old's favorite prize.... Squishies!
