My Students

My students are eager to learn and love when I am able to put a hands on spin to traditional math content with fun, application based activities.

All of my amazing scholars are part of the Special Education program and have a variety of disabilities and with the right support can succeed in all subject areas!

Most, if not all of my students are 11-13 year old students that come from a low income community as my school is a Title 1.

My Project

Our students are finally back to in-person school after almost two years of learning online and I want to create a beautiful classroom environment for them to enjoy! There are items in this project that will help me put up posters/create fun new themes in the classroom as well as items to provide new fidget toys for my students with disabilities to satisfy their stimming needs.

I'd like my students to walk into class feeling welcomed and since they can't see a bright smiling face through a mask, my goal is to create a classroom environment that will make them feel happy every time they walk in.

I am creative and often build things to spice up my class (duct tape will do wonders) but proper tools would help with more ambitious projects. Additionally, I want my students to feel safe in our class, which is why masks, gloves, cleaner, and sanitizer are also part of this project.
