My Students

I will be teaching a class of multicultural fifth graders who are a mixture of ELD, special needs, and gifted students. They are eager students who are ready to learn and try their best.

More than half of our students come from low-income families who cannot provide them with the resources they need to help give their children the best education possible.

These students are the ones on the free or reduced-price lunch list.

My Project

One of the most challenging part of teaching remotely is having the proper tools to do it from home. As I think about the fall semester and all its expectation and reflect on the distant learning in the Spring, I realized that it is going to be a difficult task to show the kids exactly what I am talking about without a whiteboard. After talking to a few friends< I was advised to have multiple screens hooked up on Zoom and to use an iPad as a touchscreen "whiteboard". It was a brilliant idea!

An iPad connected to my laptop/Zoom would definitely make things much easier during these crazy times.

Please help me get an iPad to make things easier. Not only will I be able to use it during distant learning but it will be beneficial in class once school resumes. The children can use it to take photos, make iMovies, and much more. the possibilities are endless!
