This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school now has a theater program for the first time in the school's history!

As a middle school, we do not have a dedicated auditorium space; instead, we have a combined "cafetorium" space that is used for theater, band, chorus, and orchestra performances.

As is the nature of combined spaces, we do not have the necessary lighting equipment for live performances. This affects our ability to create engaging stage lighting effects for our theater productions. The lighting equipment purchased will improve the overall production value of all music and theater performances.

Students will also be exposed to and given training on the proper care and operation of the equipment, which provides exposure to potential career opportunities in any show production field.
