I teach kindergarten in San Jose, California. 74% of the students at my school receive free and reduced lunch. It is very hard for the families at our school to provide any money for extra things like field trips. Every year we kindergarten teachers like to take our students to Monterey Bay Aquarium. The children love to see all of the different sea life and explore all that the aquarium has to offer.
We are very fortunate that Monterey Bay Aquarium does not charge schools an entrance charge. All we need to come up with is our own transportation. Unfortunately for us, that can be pretty expensive.
I am requesting 1 bus to Monterey Bay Aquarium for 60 students, 3 teachers, and 12 chaperones. Thank you so much for your time and generosity.
