My students come from low-income and minority backgrounds. Most students rely on the meals provided at our school. Every student in our school receives free breakfast and lunch. The students I teach have a desire to learn every day. I consistently provide them activities and learning experiences that allow them to move while learning. We have a need to reach our students in ways that make them excited to learn. My heart breaks for these kids. We want to be a positive force in their life, and I do that every day because I love them.
My Project
My students come from families that can't afford to supply the needed items for this STEM project.
We will be doing research on plants and record our findings.
Students will start seed with and without light. They will determine the amount of days it took the seeds to germinate. We will also record the growth of plants based on the light they receive. They will learn how to create a graph with technology. They will also use Play-Doh to make a model of their plant. This project combines math, science, art and technology. Thank you in advance for any help you are willing to give.
