This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students their own Disney book to make reading magical! 1st grade is a magical year full of learning, play, friendship, and growth. My students are interested in watching the new movie Snow White while reading the book and making connections about what they learned. For this reason, I incorporate a literacy theme into my lessons to promote the love of reading in a fun and magical way.

I'd love to add more books to our small Disney classroom library classic collection and make it complete.

The Wonderful World of Disney is a theme that I love incorporating into my lessons during the last month of school.

1st grade need love, hugs, and social-emotional connections. My students love all things Disney and I know they will feel inspired with the classic story message.

It's hard to believe that students have never been exposed to the Disney classics.

We have worked hard all year and as the end of the year approaches, I will provide each student with a Disney character book keepsake to celebrate our "Magical" year of learning. My students will enjoy reading and taking their Disney storybooks home to read to their family.

"If You Keep On Believing the Dreams that you Wish will Come True!" This is just one of many Disney character quotes that teaches students to always believe in their dreams. Help us achieve those dreams by supporting my students in becoming lifetime readers and life-long learners!
