Hearing with Headphones

Help me give my students headpones to use with our lessons. They make lessons more easily heard, they create quieter classrooms for better learning, and they help students focus.

My Students

I have a classroom of twenty-two fourth-grade students who love to learn. They are eager to explore learning using new tools.

Our small, southern Indiana school is a school-wide Title I facility in which funds are limited.

About 71% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast, lunch, and book fees.

My students love to learn new things, especially if technology is involved. They enjoy learning in many different ways, and they are always ready for the next new learning challenge I present to them.

My Project

Headphones are the perfect accessories for us to use in the classroom. I have taught the students how to use dictation to write their longer stories. These headphones have a microphone in them, and they will be put to good use often by students "writing" their stories. Also, the headphones will allow students to listen to stories on their reading level, watch learning videos for Science, and be better able to focus on their work by tuning out the other distractions around them. The headphones will help students be able to concentrate on their work.
