My Students

My fourth grade classroom is a place for students of all backgrounds to come, learn, and grow. In the year to come, students will have a chance to explore all areas of life. Students will learn what it would have been like to live during the time of the gold rush, dive into fractions and how we use them in day to day life, and how technology can be used as a tool to help us better understand the world around us.

Each student in our class is unique and special in their own way and as a class we strive to support one another in these diverse needs through the use of technology.

My students are directly impacted by the world around them and as an educator I aspire to create a place for these students to become life long learners. Each one of them has passions, dreams, and aspirations they hope to one day achieve. As their teacher I love to encourage, guide and help them as they continue to grow. Having current technology will allow us to better accomplish these goals.

My Project

Our class is in need of complete sets of headphones and mice. These will help students when they are using technology. We do a lot of work on Chrome books to help students become familiar with the basics of using technology responsibly. It is important that students practice listening skills, and headphones are a key ingredient of doing this on the computers. Having mice also allows students to more easily practice navigating on Chrome books.

Mice and headphones allow each student to practice skills they need for state testing at the end of the year.

It also allows them the ability to work at their own pace without feeling rushed or having to struggle with basic computer functions.
