Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love how resilient my students are. I work at a Title I, low socioeconomic school where the majority of my student are English language learners, and none of these characteristics have ever stopped my student from achieving their full potential.

My Project

Phonological awareness is the primary skill that kids need to develop in order for them to be able to read. This skill enables you to hear and identify the natural sound structure of language. Some of the areas that it covers are rhyming, syllables, blending and alliteration.

Digital resources emphasizing phonological awareness would be great help for distance learning.

Even though phonological means sound without a visual, a digital resource is needed at this time to engage students virtually and keep them focus. The use of digital games will sure keep them interested.
