My Project

The use of Zearn is almost a daily activity in my classroom. Using Zearn (online version of Eureka) in math, once we have completed guided practice, the students complete independent work on their Chromebooks to reinforce the guided practice.

Part of daily instruction involves listening to videos with Zearn.

In order not to disturb other students it is essential for them to use earbuds or headphones. If they do not have them they have to turn the volume low enough to not disturb other students yet high enough for them to hear it themselves. This is difficult for the students to achieve. Students tend to also use the earbuds very quickly and they do not seem to last.

We also added several programs which involve the use of earbuds. Those programs are Reflex, Moby Max, Frax, and PhD Science. I also use Quizziz and prodigy as well. Several of my students are also required because of modifications and accommodations to have the program read the text to them.

By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not worry whether they will have materials.
