This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love using technology, especially when it comes to their learning! Watching their excitement as they take out their tablets, their eyes lighting up when I say "technology time", and the joy they express when they get to use their favorite learning apps is something I cherish. Unfortunately, many of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds where using technology in school can cause some challenges to arise. As some of us may see the purchase of school headphones to be not quite costly, for many families, it is an extravagance they simply can not afford. Help me in helping my students all have the equal possibility of using technology during their school day
Having headphones not only helps students stay engaged while reading, but they are extremely valuable in helping students with their reading fluency, reading comprehension, and also teaching our English Language Learners how to speak in English!
They are also a valuable tool to have in your classroom for the students that may require a little quiet time in order to calm themselves down. Please help me so that I can give all of my students the equal opportunity to excel in school, despite the hardships they may face when they step outside!
