Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a variety of different backgrounds. They are each unique and special individuals I am lucky to be teaching this year. They all come to my class with many different skill sets, and strive everyday to be the best they can be! They work hard and find success in many different ways. They are amazing kids who, with their wide range of abilities and interests, challenge me to be a better teacher every day.

The majority of my students are English Language Learners.

They work hard every day to increase their vocabulary and fluency of the English language.

With the help of donors choose, we can continue to work together and bridge the gap between our native langage and second language learners.

My Project

The materials I am asking for can all contribute to learning the English language. This includes understanding what they hear and read along with learning how to speak.

English Language Learners benefit from heavy picture support.

The flash cards will be part of their individual word walls, part of learning centers as well as a tool for writing. The CDs will also be great in listening centers exposing them to a variety of informational books to aid them in our information writing units.

So I believe all of these supplies will help my students learn new vocabulary, expose them to books and lots of new information.
