This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are insightful, inquisitive and thoughtful. Everyday they arrive to school, hungry to learn, and become better readers and mathematicians.

Having a guided reading library will allow me to work with small groups, directly at their level to receive targeted reading instruction.

Each student will get the benefit of what they need to become proficient readers, building vocabulary and reading with intonation and fluency while practicing good reading techniques such as using phonics, context clues, and others. This method of instruction requires a library to use with the students.
