Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
The students in this special education gifted classroom are unique. They are considerate of one another and are striving to live out our class motto, 'Speak Life,' in the way they communicate with one another. This is a predominately low-income, Title I school. The students in this class work hard to ensure a positive, respectful environment for all learners.
The students have a multitude of learning styles, but love to collaborate and interact with their peers.
They use hands-on materials to learn and are bright and inquisitive. Many have a love of reading materials of all genres. They love to play educational games and work through logic puzzles.
My Project
Our classroom has a variety of age levels, from 5 years old to 11 years old. Some students do not have the proper motor skills needed to use the track pad on a Chromebook. Also, some students are easily distracted by noises coming from others' technology. Therefore, we are asking for mice for each student in the largest group I see and about half of that amount in headphones.
Our students require mice and headphones to focus on their assignments and to reduce frustration with only having a track pad to navigate the websites.
Students have asked multiple times for our class to have these materials to use. Thank you for your support of our project.
