My Project

Moving to a new lower grade level meant that the students use tablets instead of chromebooks. Due to this, the headphones I received several years ago are not compatible and we need new ones!

Having headphones in my class will be so helpful to the class for various reasons.

These headphones will allow my students to work independently on their online reading programs without disrupting those around them. The program requires students to listen to various texts and phrases, which can cause others to become distracted or unable to hear their own prompts. These particular headphones also include a microphone, which will allow my students to do online activities to help improve their speaking skills as well. Since some of my students are English Language Learners (ELLs), they need as much practice with speaking and listening to fluent English. Headphones allow students to all work at their own pace and allow me to differentiate learning by having each student to focus on their program and work at their own pace without being interrupted.

Lastly, having printer ink and cardstock will allow us to do a lot of interactive journals and art projects throughout the year without fear of not having enough copies! Our school provides printer paper, but cardstock is more rare and comes in handy for last minute projects.
