This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every year, my school puts on a musical. This year, our 4th-8th graders are performing in a production of The Lion King Jr.! Many of our students have never participated in a musical before and they all have been working so hard. Unfortunately, over the past few years, our microphones have been broken or lost, and now we need your help! We are a Title I school and we don't have much funding for our show. We are asking for donations to buy new stage microphones for our performers.
By donating to our project, you will help a hard-working group of students share their voices and shine on stage!
We want to celebrate our students' talent and drive, and these microphones are the perfect way to do that. They will contribute to the overall success of our show as well as give our students even more confidence in their roles.
We also plan to use these microphones for all of our musicals in the years to come, so your donation will support multiple generations of new performers in finding their voices! Theater is such an exciting and powerful form of artistic expression--by contributing to our project, you will be helping us spark a (hopefully) life-long love of theater in our kids.
