My Project

Have you ever heard of inclusive learning environments? Today, I'm excited to share why they are so vital! In my self-contained classes, we cherish routines, but with a combination of multimodal activities. Multimodal learning uses teaching methods that engage different senses at the same time.

Recently, we've been exploring the mode of audio in our learning experiences.

However, I've noticed that when students need to adjust their audio or access different resources, it can disrupt the lesson flow and lead to missed instructions.

By introducing headphones, students can independently manage their audio needs, allowing them to stay engaged and immersed in their learning. This simple yet impactful change can significantly enhance their overall experience and understanding of the subject matter. Headphones are becoming an essential tool in my classroom. They support a more dynamic approach to historical education and foster an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

During our lessons, students engage with various online resources such as EdPuzzles, Quizizz, videos, interactive content, and virtual discussions. With headphones, they can concentrate fully on these activities without the background noise distractions. This is especially beneficial for students who struggle with attention, enabling them to absorb information more effectively.

By providing headphones, we can create a focused and effective learning atmosphere that enriches our students' educational journeys in social studies. Together, we can build an environment where every student feels supported and empowered to succeed!
