Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My scholars are special because they are all ENL students who are learning both language and academic content at the same time. Each child is commanding their second language (English) at a different proficiency level.

Being a teacher encompasses being a provider, motivator, facilitator, counselor, and cheerleader, among many other titles.

Even though this is a challenging task, all scholars enter the classroom each day with smiles and an eagerness to learn. Each day I wake up ready to share my knowledge to help them get closer to reaching their academic success and challenging them to do just a little better than the day before. One day at a time, together we can succeed.

My Project

All of these materials will help make a difference! One of the ways is to make reading and writing interactive is with a puzzle. Secondly, headphones will give scholars an opportunity to zone in and interact with their chromebooks with less distractions and background noise during centers. Lastly, materials to help sanitize between sessions! My students will be excited to get these additional items to help support teaching and learning. The students are easily distracted and need hands on materials and working in literacy centers helps us all be more productive.
