Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are learning about migration of the monarch butterfly paired with branches of government. We're starting to look more locally at making our voice heard and are planning an activism walk to the local library. The librarians will read stories about all kind of migration while we have discussion about the importance of protecting life of all shapes and sizes.

We will use the materials to amplify the voice of students and make lasting memories to give to others.

The hope is that the students will use these materials to pass out to friends and families to start conversations and further spread awareness beyond the walk.

The button maker will be used to spread their message far and wide. The photo printer will be used to create memories to allow them to re-live and remember the feelings they get when making their passions known. These students are extremely bright and motivated. This project has the potential to make life long activist out of a wonderful group of students.
