My Students

We have great students, who also happen to be great musicians. We are a high poverty NYC school and a lot of our families are unable to provide an instrument for their child.

We have a great group of great kids how would like to learn how to play woodwind instruments.

Last year we learned how to play the recorder. We know about air control, breathing, fingering and taking care of our instruments. Now we are ready for the next step.

My Project

We have some flutes and clarinets to get started... But some the instruments that we have are over 20-30 years old (yikes), are falling apart and impossible to play. With your help our students will have access to new instruments that they will be able to love for the rest of their lives! Do you remember playing your first instrument? Was that a good experience?

Playing a run down instrument is like trying to type an essay on a computer with broken keyboard ( not completely impossible, but definitely not enjoyable).

. Our students deserve better than that!
