Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is a Title I school, which means the majority of my students come from low-income households and struggle to afford many of the resources that can be useful in my classroom. For this reason, I make sure - as best as I can - that I always provide supplies for my students or have some on hand if they need them.

One item that would benefit my students is class headphones, so they can work independently and listen to videos that can help them.

There are so many wonderful online resources that a student can individually use - reteaching a topic through YouTube, listening to a chapter through EdPuzzle, or hearing something translated into their home language. But it's hard to do these things individually because the noise is distracting. These headphones would solve this issue.

Though I have three classes, these headphones would be class sets available for my students to use and share to help strengthen their learning. This resource would be invaluable.
