My Students

I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade Special Education students in a class which is multi-cultural including African American, Russian, Cambodian and Hispanic. My students have a variety of difficulties with learning. Some of my students also receive Speech, ESOL, and gifted and talented services. The majority of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch, which often leads to them not having the supplies they need for school.

The students that I teach are all working 1-2 years below their grade level in both reading and math.

These students need extra support and practice. They often need hands-on materials to help them learn.

Even with the challenges that they face, my students are hard workers who never give up!

My Project

Keeping our students healthy is important now more than ever. These supplies will benefit all of my students by creating a healthy classroom.

By having these tissues and cleaning supplies available to my students, I will be able to teach them about hygiene and ways to keep themselves healthy.

My students can share this information with their families at home which will hopefully help to create healthy homes too!

Your donation will reach a wide range of students at the Elementary level. By helping to keep them healthy and in school, I will be able to help them learn.
