My Project

In my classroom often times many students skip breakfast or are unable to have a nutritious snack when they get home from school due to low income families. By providing my students with a snack cart they are able to fuel their brains and feel safe and welcoming in the classroom. Sixth grade students are growing at tremendous rates and I want to provide them with something as simple as a snack to help them stay on task and help with hunger deprivations. Research shows that if students are not hungry they are able to focus and use their energy to learn the skills and content that is being taught.
