Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from all over the world, mainly West Africa, South and Central America, Mexico, Dominican Republican, China, and Bangladesh. Our students are learning English, studying for the regents exams, acclimating to life in the U.S., and many of them are also working part-time jobs. Snacks are essential to help our students get through the day. Healthy snacks with protein help keep our students nourished, and their brains sharp so they can study and get the support they need to thrive. I've also included erasers as class prizes for when students go above and beyond in their schoolwork.
