My Project
Almost all my first grade students are provided with free breakfast and lunch at school, but we have no snacks for mid-morning when student's attention starts to waver. Having these healthy choices available for the class would greatly aid their concentration and also help these young scholars enjoy school!
My goal is to give them a snack about 1 hour before lunch so they can "hang on" until their break.
We are learning English Language Arts during this period, and could use a boost!
You should see the student's eyes light up when they see the paraprofessional and I coming around with a special snack. It provides them good motivation to keep trying their hardest as we learn to read.
