Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to enhance the learning experience for my students by providing them with healthy snacks and celebratory T-shirts.

Many of my students depend on the school for their nutritional needs.

Access to nourishing snacks will significantly impact their ability to concentrate during lessons, creating a more positive and productive classroom environment. Furthermore, these snacks will contribute to their overall well-being by providing the energy and focus they need to thrive.

The T-shirts will be used for special celebrations within the classroom. This will allow students to actively participate in the festivities by designing their own shirts, fostering a sense of belonging and ownership. Often, students are expected to come to school in special attire that they may not possess, which can unfortunately lead to feelings of exclusion. By providing these T-shirts, we can ensure all students feel included and valued during celebratory events.

My ultimate goal is to create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where my students can flourish academically and socially. By addressing their nutritional needs and providing opportunities for joyful participation, I hope to remove barriers to their success and empower them to embrace the learning journey with enthusiasm.
