Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in this list are great ways to help students not only identify and understand their emotions but also as ways to engage and unpack what they are experiencing in their busy lives. While students are either engaging in activities individually or as a team, having these reinforcements there serve as a reminder for them. That reminder being that there are many avenues their growing and learning can take.

There is no one way to show your understanding of content and of yourself despite what one is going through.

Students who struggle in class will be able to explore the ways that they can self regulate and advocate for themselves when needed. They are not only nurturing their self esteem but also growing their emotional intelligence as young people. By learning how to manage and reflect on their emotions and the actions that follow their emotions, students are creating a sense of self and fostering a positive cycle within their management of mental health.

My students are extremely special and unique. They are self aware, brilliant and have so many insightful ideas for their lives and the future. By being able to grow in their own way by promoting self advocacy and instilling confidence, students are being set up with some of the vital resources and tools needed for present and future success post secondary by focusing on and investing in our kids future, now. Thank you.
